Honors Program Nominations
From January 22 through February 12, 2018, Lahaina Intermediate School is accepting nominations for students into its Honors Program for the 2018-19 school year. The program includes Honors Math for grades 6-8, Honors English Language Arts for grades 7-8, and Honors Science for grades 7-8.
Parents, students, educators and community members are invited to nominate students. Acceptance into the program is based on a variety of assessments such as teacher evaluations, writing samples, teacher developed assessments, standardized reading and math scores, and report card grades.
Nomination forms are available at King Kamehameha III School, Princess Nahienaena Elementary, Sacred Hearts School, and Lahaina Intermediate School.

CAFETERIA HELPER WANTED (SUBSTITUTE STATUS): Lahaina Intermediate School Cafeteria is looking for a dependable, motivated and hardworking person to help prepare and serve lunch daily. This is an on-call/substitute position from 9:30 am to 1:50 pm. Starting pay rate is approx. $18.72 per hour. This position does not provide any Medical or DOE benefits.
Duties: Some foodservice experience is recommended. Food preparation of fruits and vegetables in a timely manner. Serve food during breakfast and lunch service. Documentation of all foods and supplies. Washing of dishes, pots and pans. Cleaning of all equipment and kitchen area. Employee is occasionally required to lift or move objects up to 50-75 pounds. Ability to read, write and speak English. Please note this job description is not designed to cover all or contain a comprehensive listing of work duties. Training will be provided.
